Captain's Frames 2.6

Earth Date 8.11.2016

Now this one is something special, being the last work I did at school before my work training started. Everything about it just works. Sublime.

After cutting the oval hole through the passepartout, I sketch the outline and started drawing. Flowers and things. You know, manly stuff.

Daintily painted the flowers with watercolours.

The blue tape comes into play later, it protects the edge of the oval from getting messed up with mixtion oil that's used to attach the gold in place. I used the 30 minute oil and had to apply the gold immediately since the passepartout sucks it up so fast.

I left a few parts of the background white to irritate the eye a bit. Guuuurl u lookin' so fine.

After applying the gold came time to rub it 'till it shined, bright like a diamond.

Used a black ink pen to make the gold pop out more.

Just, look at it.

Here it is, the finishing touch. The reason I started making this.

Nnnnnngh. Oh yeah.

Oh yes.

Now for the actual frame.

Top it off with a gold frame. Something's still missing.

Thankfully the school had some wallpaper samples.

Slapped on some wallpaper paste inside and on the outside. Slapped it good.

I'm so proud.

Here you have it. What a work to end on. Are you satisfied? I know I am. Call me.

Here's a quick one that I did, it's held together by glue and faith, basically.

The seaside atmosphere worked out really well, considering the only authentic thing in it are the seashells. The water felt so barren until I drew some waves on it to give it a bit of movement. Or maybe it's a pond.

There's absolutely no way to open this without breaking it apart. It looks soooooo good though that I'll never have to!

You might remember this frame from an old post, I finally found something to put in it! Had to make it myself. Of course.

Just look at those pretty colours. Yummm.
