Another Herculean task accomplished! I've begun reading local mythology, quite entertaining I must admit. Although their more modern attempts at writing I find lacking. For the most part. I bought what I believe to be war memorabilia from the "internet" and finding no other use for it I had to frame them. I still have more than I could ever possibly need. Maybe the rest will find a home in a "museum".

The battlefield begins to take form.

The backboard was cardboard at first but the paper mache didn't dry, at all. So out with the cardboard and in with the shiny, spiffy, sexual backboard made of same kind of wood mesh... I dunno.

War, war is hell.

These battle close-ups are so intense.

It's massive by the way, 120cm wide. Giggity.

This one is special since the print is of my own make. Plus, it's a being sold immediately, awesome.

Like with all fabric works, gotta attach it to a board with pins and then sow it on firmly so it doesn't move around and looks all proper and stuff.

It took less then an hour. Looking all prim and proper.

I went and made it a frame that had class because, well, it's a classy print.

Not much else to say about this one, except daddy's proud, so proud.

Now for some unconventional frames. If your school provides a proper woodshop with few students in it, why not abuse your chance of using it?

Making the triangle was a pain in the ass to tell you the truth, the hexagon was much easier, the angles much more bearable.

There was a bit of problem solving to be had with the triangle since I didn't want the mirror to take up all the space.

Looking good.

So good.

The hexagon looks proper as well, although the triangle looks more interesting. I suppose the challenge in making it was more fun to be honest.

Now this was a long project. To begin with, the frame was sanded down before the cotton cloth that's been dipped in glue is shaped and applied.

A LOT of glue so the form of the flowers hold and stay firm. Take a day at least to dry properly.

The first layer of paint.

Love how well the pink came out, if I do say so myself.

Awwwww yis. Now the yellow, orange paint and the it was time to lay on the gold leaf.

I mean just look at it!

So pretty. Even more amazing then the one I did earlier.
